Michelle Ebony Hardy is an Executive Producer, Showrunner, Director, Writer, and Public Speaker. Although Michelle has lived throughout the United States, Brooklyn, New York is her home. When her mother died of lung cancer when she was just fifteen years old, Michelle made a commitment to never give up on her dreams. Michelle graduated from high school and financed her own way through college. Michelle attended Iona College where she received her bachelor’s degree. She became the first African American to ever graduate with an English Degree from the private university. Michelle received her master’s degree from University of San Diego and was selected as a Dean Merit Scholar. 

With a dream of becoming a sports agent, Michelle’s talent, work ethic and ambition landed her a highly competitive, highly sought after job at CBS Sports. As Senior Coordinator, Michelle assisted with the contract negotiations for on-air talent, producers, and directors at the #1 sports network. During her five years at CBS Sports, Michelle decided to change her career goal of becoming a sports agent and began to pursue a career as a television and film producer. Michelle’s film experience includes working with Academy Award winning actor Denzel Washington in “American Gangster” and Academy Award winning director Oliver Stone in “The World Trade Center.” She also worked on the box office smash hit “I am Legend,” starring Will Smith. Michelle has worked on various television shows from “Good Morning America” to “VH1 Hip Hop Honors.” 

Michelle is the Founder of the Simply M. E. Women’s Empowerment Program. The Simply M.E. (Magnifying Excellence) Women’s Empowerment Program was first implemented at St. Hope Leadership Academy in New York City. Michelle created the program to encourage and empower young women who demonstrated the courage and willingness to go beyond their current circumstances and environment to become leaders in school and in their communities. As a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Michelle also served as a Representative to the United Nations in Special Consultative status with the Economic and Social Council and the Department of Public Information. 

Michelle is the CEO of Simply M.E. Productions, where she creates, writes, directs, and produces diverse projects including the documentary “Game Changers: An Exclusive Look at Inclusion and Diversity in Hollywood” and wrote and produced the film “SHOWRUNNER.” Also, Michelle has created “Possibility Thinkers,” a roundtable talk show which focuses on global issues. 

In September 2019, Michelle became the co-owner of Kemy Time Productions, which creates and produces various genres of content from animation to drama. Kemytime’s debut project, “LACE” in which Michelle is the Executive Producer and Showrunner airs on the ALLBLK Network, a subsidiary of AMC Networks. 

Determined to succeed and make a difference in this world, Michelle’s personal philosophy is “I’m not concerned with how the world was when I found it; I am more concerned with how I am going to use my life to make this world a better place before I leave it.”
